Let It Be

by Anna Stephens   Feb 7, 2012

Heavy weighs the stone of life
Upon this weary soul.
Day to night and back again
Comes time to pay the toll.

Slowly, slowly darkness creeps
Across the face of pain.
While buzzards float above the earth
Displaying their disdain.

Was there a path that went unseen
As the mask of death drew near?
Love and angels cannot be found
When looking through eyes of fear.

Ill winds blow, black oaks bend.
Holy night birds sing their plea
Onward soul into the night
"Let it be. Just let it be."

    Wow
I am in awe of this, dont even know how to comment. It doesn't happen often that I can't find something to say.

Your poems are life, real life written with great flow and beauty. There isn't a thing that I would change in this awesome piece.
