Destroy

by Tiny Reader   Feb 9, 2012

Tread carefully
for I am not strong.

Beating fast yet weary
and I do not feel a thing,
but a dusting of pain
on an empty heart.

Tread on me,
for I am not strong.

Eyes cannot bear the sight
of all everything that I see,
torture placed upon me;
on my shredded soul.

Tread me down,
for I am not strong.

Tread, Stamp, Destroy.

I like your emotion in this poem, it does speak, even when we're down and out, we hold on because we have too.

    "Beating fast yet weary
and I do not feel a thing,
    but a dusting of pain
    on an empty heart."

this stanza is great, I dunno what it is about it, but it screams pain. well written.
