Without you

by Haley Elizabeth   Feb 10, 2012

You tell your lie as I cry.
Trying so hard to understand,
Why is it you can't be a man?
Tiny knots in my heart you tie.

You go ahead as you travel your life line,
Leaving me to stumble far behind.
I follow the path with twists and turns for some time,
I'm waiting for a sign.

Your hallowed heart has been shallowed.
To you your life is just fine,
But in all reality it changes on the dime.
For being as old as you are your very challowed.

One day I say,
My un-forgiveness is how you will pay.
I'll tell you about the pain someday,
And when all is said and done I'll walk away.

As long as you're in the depths of my memory,
The rap-a-tap-tap of my tears is silent.
In my life you are absent
Without you I'm free.

You gladly gave up the role of being my daddy.
The plunk, plunk, plunk of your steps silenced quickly.
The door that brought us together closed loudly.
I live my life without you proudly.

~To the man that acted like a father all my life. I can't tell you how much pain you caused and how much shit you put me through. With you my life is nothing, without you my life is everything.~
