Later than sooner

by Yakari Gabriel   Feb 11, 2012

I can't deny
the obvious

time,
is slowly sweeping
the pain from my skin,
and I'm were I never
thought I could be

later than sooner,
lessons were learned..

for now see
that what could have been
is a small insignificant
question that has lost weight
in my mind..

slowly thinning
making room for

what is.

somewhere between
a sunrise and a sunset,
I stopped holding on
to you.

and it feels like,
it feels like that first breath
you take after a headache-
the moment you realize
that the pain has faded

I can't say I am doing wonderful
but just so you know,

...I'm not doing so bad anymore.
