Tired and Despairing People

by Charlene   Jun 26, 2004

So tired and despairing people
Mourn around the world
They have no hope in life
And such a long long road

They have no food or water
They are so weak and poor
No one really cares for them
There is no hope no more

Though some people do care
And send some hope so far
To those who have none at all
And live their lives like tar

They try to build their lives
And give them food and drink
They rebuild their homes
And give them room to think

They teach them to read and write
And give them food and trade
They give them hope and happiness
In the paradise they've made

** I wrote this poem because of the missionaries going to the third world countries and giving those people some hope when everything seems so lost. I go to the Salvation Army and people here give up a life like we have here to go and help those people who don't have the luxury's we have. Please comment. **
