Empty Spaces

by YourSweetAddiction   Feb 17, 2012

Sittin here, I watch these cars go by.
Sometimes I just wish
I could grow wings and fly.
Above it all,
above this day and this place.
Find another time in a safer space.
Space, its another reminder of why.
Why I'm all alone, and your in the skies.
The world took you,
and left me behind.
With all the shit I see now,
I wish I was blind.
I wouldn't see this space.
Sit here where we use to pass our days
away, then away you went.
It's a day. A day I'll never forget.
Never truly felt like you were gone.
Until you never came by,
and no one answered your phone.
I wish I was deaf,
I wouldn't miss your voice,
I listen now, but its all worthless noise.
A jumbled mess of sounds,
Same things going around.
But I'd rather listen to worthless noise like this,
then wait around to hear your emptiness.
A voice replaced by silence
is like trading peace for violence.
I wish I was emotionless,
I miss the love you use to give.
In my heart is an empty space,
where your love use to live.
Empty, lie the space next to me.
Empty, because without you,
that's all I'll ever be.
