Through the Years

by Rhinehalt   Jun 26, 2004

Through the years
And all the men.
Not a one
Came close to you.
You are the person
Who had to be mom and dad.
So, I'm here to say
You did the job right.
Cause we're still here
And so are you.
You were near
When no one was around.
A father we never knew
But the love you gave
Was enough.
I can't believe in all the years
Of wonder
Asking of a father,
I may have needed one
But I got you.
I have no complaints.
So, thank you, Mom.
I love you.

Sissy,
Your littlest girl
