Paradise (Archaic)

by Fluffy Cotton   Feb 25, 2012

What dream is this that lies betwixt those eyes?
Aye, a dream that shall not be forgotten.
A forever dream that drownest in love,
supple meadows of sunlight, dost thou see them too?
Alas, it is but a dream, and yet, it is all mine eyes know.
Fear I, that those curtains will drop,
concealing my dreams behind them.
I pray you, open and let your heavenly light burst forth,
that I might know once more the notion of love,
the warmth of your light,
the curve of your smile.
Do not hide mine eyes from paradise,
lest I experience a world drained of life.
