Heart It Races or Somthing Worse

by Mello193   Feb 26, 2012

Heart it races
and the time traces
shadows on the bitter faces
in different cases
in different ways
we out live the days
for a job that pays
today a daze
tomorrow a mystery
re-writing history
make a martyr of me
as far as i can see
it doesn't matter anyhow
just how endowed
their daughter proud
her voice so loud
in the concert hall
in the season fall
standing tall
a curtain call
for the girl in red
the words now said
we break the bread
with what is dead
the girl sings of death
screams her every breath
til nothings left
a subtle theft
of her once white heart
a dying art
bleeding from the start
just play the part
she screaming lyrics in broken verse
every action a single curse
the secret kept within her purse
shows great signs of something worse
