Love Bird

by Maegan Bravo   Mar 2, 2012

To the wings of sorrow,
I sigh.

They soar above me,
Screaming for my guidance.
But I have none.

The bird better off alone,
I've fallen too hard,
Too far away from home.

Blue eyes shatter
Like glass.
Black wings flutter,
Landing in the grass.
I stare into the eyes,
Of this love bird before me.

Its blue eyes gone,
Hollow holes take their place.
Such a sad sight,
For I loved their gaze.

I'm too weak,
To guide you alone.
Find a stranger
To take you home.

Now this is a beautiful and elegant poem... Mercy the simplistic metaphor just sings within this piece.... very nice~
