I'll Learn To Move On

by A Shame In His Eyes   Mar 4, 2012

I was the one you swore you'd never hurt,
The one you swore you'd never leave for another.

I've learned to forgive the mistakes,
And learned to forget the wrongs done.

But learning to deal with the hurt,
Well, that takes more courage than she has.

A hide and seek game gone all wrong,
Hiding the things you swore I'd never find out.

I'm not mad for what you did,
It's really no use fighting myself over every night.

It's a war of love and hate when you're put into the equation:
I loved who I thought you were,
But I hate who you really are.

I'll learn to love again,
When he walks into my life and refuses to walk out without a fight.

I'm not going to dwell on the fact that you're really gone,
Because like you, I'll learn to move on.
