I was drowning

by KayKay   Mar 5, 2012

I fell in with my head going first
It was so scary, but the doctors
Say that it could've been worse.
I had weights all around my body
Dragging me down, down, down
And some day, somebody
Would have found me in some way
All washed up on there sandy beach.
I held my breath as long as I could
It hurt me so bad. I was down
There longer than I should
Have been.
My vision was going all fuzzy
And my head started to buzz.
I let out my breath and I closed my eyes
I guess that that was my last try.
But then I felt a hand around my wrist
Some one pulled me up, up, up
We broke the surface then, and
He dragged me to the shore
He layed my body onto the sand
And dialed 911.
The next thing I knew
I woke up in a white bed
It hurt so much, my head.
But the important thing was
I was alive just because
This man dove in after me
And I never got to thank him.
