WOULD RATHER

by HELENA KILSON   Mar 8, 2012

I WOULD RATHER BE DEAF, MUTE AND BLIND
THEN TO CLAIM YOU AS MINE
I WOULD RATHER BE BY MYSELF
HOMELESS, HUNGRY SKIN AND BONES
THEN TO BE FANCY AND FULL WITH HIM IN A TEN BEDROOM HOME
I WOULD RATHER CRY AND MOAN
THEN TO PRETEND THAT HERE WITH HIM IS WHERE I BELONG
I WOULD RATHER KICK AND SCREAM
I WOULD RATHER BE A DOPE FIEND INSTEAD OF HIS QUEEN
I WOULD RATHER LIVE IN MY OWN NIGHTMARES INSTEAD OF VISITING HIS DREAMS
I WOULD RATHER LOSE PLAYING ALONE THEN TO BE ON HIS TEAM
I WOULD RATHER BE INVISIBLE THEN TO BE WITH HIM AND SEEN
