Bella

by Lioness   Mar 12, 2012

I could reach out
and touch you
as though we
were swimming
side by
side.

The water;
crystal blue,
and warm
against my
skin.

I was in
admiration and
felt so blessed
to be in your
presence.

Bella;
smooth to the
touch. You felt
like silky cold
rubber.

I looked into
your eyes and
I could feel
you staring
back at me -
I wondered
what you were
thinking.

I stretched
my eager arms
and you swam
even closer,
enough for me to
cuddle you.

I could feel your
strength through
my own body,

you were truly
magnificent.

Before I left,
I tickled you
and watched your
fins laugh,
we danced and
you kissed me
on the cheek.

I was saddened
to leave, but
smiling from
disbelief
because -

I could not seem
to comprehend
that something so
magical, was just
in the palm of
my hands.

*** Bella is the name of the Dolphin I went swimming with a couple of weeks ago. It was magical ***

I certainly loved the poem and adored it even more so knowing what you were talking about before reading the end caption. I only felt like there was one draw back in this entire stunning piece....the use of the word "rubber" seemed distracting to such a beautiful porpoise. That however is the only thing that held me back. This poem is beautiful and I too would love to swim with a dolphin, Lucky You!

How much you more merge with the nature, you are more merging to life, great piece of work.
