Misanthropy.

Her world - A cage of torment.
The people here are death.
Her eyes - The only witnesses,
Saw things they wont forget.

Pain would be an understatement,
The beatings don't seem real.
She'll refuse to beg for existence,
In a world that does not feel.

She promised not to kill herself,
But swears she wants to die.
She tells herself 'they'll change'.
Or maybe some will try.

'Humanity is broken.
Humanity is damned.
Humanity won't change.
Don't tell me that it can!'

How do you close your eyes at night?
knowing you what you've done?
How does your heart still beat so clear?
With all that you've become?

My world - A cage of torment.
The people here are death.
My eyes - The only witnesses,
Saw things they wont forget.

(I often question my existence in the human race. I've always believed I was destined for so much more than a "person" Or maybe I've just wished this. My heart is in the animal kingdom. It will never be with humanity.)
