Slow Down, Your Going Too Fast

by Austin   Mar 22, 2012

And I opened the book to life and started to read
Gaining speed after every page
Until I started missing words, slipping lines
The world I once knew going, moving and advancing in such a meaningless blur even I couldn't comprehend what to do with it but I knew it was some kind of sign
Getting to the last chapters only to have the book only a quarter through skipping page after page now what I only could imagine, becoming true
I'm going insane
I don't know what's going to happen anymore
I cannot find a valid conclusion for what's going through my head just going by everything
Processing at such a speed
Not taking recognition of the beauties of life
Didn't think I had the time to admire the roses
Just, stop
Austin, Slow down
the very pages you are reading has infected you
As for once you, as everyone else i this world were so tender and lively as a little kid in the world if corporate and systematic societies
it was hated so
forgiving fingers like stems, growing onto whatever their grasp could hold eyes like precious jewels one anyone could love
brain still believing in anything it's told I always thought Santa and reindeer came until I got too old
always speaking theoretically all the time
Slow down and stop skipping pages, make tomorrow worth living as mine

This truly is inspirational. A lot of people nowadays (mostly teens) don't take time to enjoy life and they just rush everything, not knowing they can never go back.
    Great piece :)
