A choice

by eugene yeboah   Mar 28, 2012

We all lusting for this portion but in our quest for fortune, morals
are repudiated; truth and fact have been sedated. Modern society based
on the law of the blondest hair and the bluest eye in contempt I view
my surroundings and I ask myself why? This question is rhetorical for
the answers deplorable, leading lives of blissful ignorance, ceaseless
greed and hopeless sorrow and so tomorrow coming later than usual as
we tirelessly wait on pity, from those who show us enmity. Over money
and religion waves of blood have spilled, fighting for Christianity,
euros and dollar bills. Caught up in pointless debates about material
worth, inquisitive minds have become endangered species on this planet
earth. Politics is now defined by who wields the bigger gun, the
pursuit of power holds consequences for all under the sun, what we
must come to know is all of this is illusionary, finite, the source of
conflict and thus unnecessary. But I m sure anyone listening will
consent that we want what we can t have so we take all we can get,
multi-colored slaves running in place, obsessed with style, the
promises of global leaders only meant to beguile. In our adherence we
have pushed humanity to the brink of hysteria, a synthesized veneer
has obscured the interior, North America, land of opportunity,
delusions and camouflages, blatant falsity. Speaking clearly saying
nothing just abusing and misusing state apparatus is the central
committee of the bourgeoisie. Foolishly, most men join the ranks
cluelessly, dying blindly, accepting deception, increasing contention.
Reflection rarely seen beyond the surface of the looking glass,
purchase designer wares, advance notions of class, but the strange
thing is you don t control this you re barely holders, trying to
progress but stay affixed to this boulder, suppose this: the elite
have always been threatened by change, so divide and conquer all that
way things remain the same, therefore from the day I was born to the
day that I die I shall be condemned to living the life of the truest
lie. Humanity has longed walked on one single road, its leading to
oblivion, civilization will corrode. Man against man, a Hobbesian
state, the flesh of the weak is what the strong shall taste. When it
has finally dawned you will realize it too late, and now our only
option is to concede to this fate, no shelter for refuge, no shoulder
on which to cry, our bodies made to rot because the soul has died.
Dreams snuffed out, our rights denied behold doomed mortals, Orwell s
vision draws nigh. What I foretell is grim but it can t be ignored,
separate fact from farce or see what lies in store. The clock has
stopped ticking, were finally out of time so I will finish with this
ultimatum: act now or die.
