Darkened Days

by Joshua Patrick   Mar 28, 2012

While in these dark and weary years
some must learn to shed no tears
with many of these wandering eyes
life's not as great as the days go by

For while we sit, soever patient
things take a while, so we must wait
there are no perks of darkened days
some must go about their separate ways

for days are dark and ever violent
sometimes it's good to have some silence
our lives are short and often dark
so we must learn to live and love
but soon we'll go to heaven above

That will be our immortal home
where we are free to live and roam
no more darkness, no more fright
for there will be eternal light

I like this piece, it's refreshing and true.

Life can be cruel and every day might be darker than others for some people. But in between every dark night there is a bright day that will come as soon as the sun sets forth.

It's an inspirational poem. Well written. :)

Though, I share the same view of heaven.
But I also feel like we can make a heaven from the place we live in. It just depends on us and our attitudes towards life. It's tough, but I feel like I'm in heaven when I'm writing even when it's something sad because the feelings that I hold get imprinted in the screen and it somehow releases part of them into the screen of the ipod actually...

Keep up the good work, this one was a great write.
