Drama Queen

by Alicia   Apr 10, 2012

You say I don't get what you mean,
Thinking you're the pity queen.
You say I don't understand,
For you life is so totally canned.

Try thinking about the others,
The ones that have lost brothers,
In wars and fights without a cause,
Suffering, to loud applause.

Think of those on some old street,
Who can't afford a bite to eat.
Think of those that died today,
Without a chance to pray.

Think of those who have no money,
And still they smile at everybody.
Think of those now deathly ill,
Watching the clock by the window sill.

Think of those with scars from death,
Who count each precious breath.
Think of that child born diseased,
Gets through each day bullied and teased.

You wanna die over a broken fingernail,
Try trading your life for one burning in hell.
There are other people on this earth...
Molested women giving birth!

Don't think so much of yourself, please...
Your problems are fortunes compared to these.
Just because you hate your hair curled,
Doesn't mean it's the end of the world.
