Cheaters Never Prosper

by AleshiaNoel   Apr 16, 2012

She had long brown hair,
and gorgeous blue eyes.
He was blonde,
with eyes that could make you die.

She loved him,
but he used her.
She couldn't bare,
the cruel torture.

Am I good enough?
She wondered.
He left her with
hurtful blunder.

The tears she bleed,
much like acid rain.
Few would ever understand,
then dreadful pain.

She picked up the razor,
and pressed it to her skin.
"Ow!" she cried,
and cried again.

The other woman,
it pained her to say,
was so much better,
in so many ways.

He broke her heart,
loved her no more.
He left her so bruised,
so sore.

This is a sad story,
a true story,
and more.

I guess it just shows you,
the pain of divorce.
Cheaters never prosper,
and losers never win.
But as life unravelled itself,
she swung back the gin.

For that was the last drink
she would ever take.
It burned down her throat,
as the rope chaffed.
