Project 5

by Thomas   Apr 20, 2012

I don't care what number I'm on your list
Cause the past is gone
I won't ask even if you insist
Think of it as being reborn.

I see past the scars
In my eyes you're completely new
I prevent your past from becoming bars
That try to imprison you

It's a new relationship, a new beginning
You are still you and I'm just me
The earth is still round and still spinning
The main components are still land and sea

You can ask about my past
I made peace with it
Sometimes I went too slowly sometimes too fast
But I accepted the consequences and live with that shit

I learned and became a better man
Forcibly matured, a forced adult
Not getting in every fight I possibly can
Better to keep the peace instead of to insult
