Hannah's Poem

by Susan   Apr 20, 2012

I have my short comings, have many a fault,
But I can love you desperately through any assault.
I can make you laugh when you what to cry,
And I'll hold you in my heart through every goodbye.
I'll wipe away those tears of pain,
And rock you to solitude when the world goes insane.
Through the crossroads my love will serve as guide,
And back to me you'll find you forever reside.

If it's a nightmare you fear,
I'll be beside you and you'll know I'm near.
I'll smile when it hurts because I know you need to see,
That I'll always be strong when you need me to be.
I'll defend you to the very last,
And will shower you with love at every chance.
My absence I know has created a gaping hole,
But please forgive me and I'll divulge my soul.

You've always been deep in my heart,
Even though we've been far apart.
I'll never leave again, no I'll never again go,
I carry a love so deep for you but there are things you must know.
I'll make mistakes and apologize every time,
But I will own them never blaming for they are solely mine.

I'll let you grow at your own pace,
And carry you when you fall out of grace.
Your my child and I your mother,
I wouldn't trade you ever for any other.
My true love come what may will stay strong,
And in these actions I hope you find I've loved you all along.
