Forever Hope

by Susan   Apr 20, 2012

Discern the profound colors of the moon
Translating them into visions behind your eyes
With the moon shining brightly on it's canvas.

Separate the sea salt from the humbling ocean
Forming the tears that now can freely stream
To the place where the ocean meets the sand.

Seek the splendid warmth found in a ray of sunlight
Placing it into a secret garden maze within you
When summer days no longer whisper promise.

But the moon isn't shining;
Bright sunshine is perfect daylight.

And I am not anywhere near;
Water and sand colliding to combine.

My snowy days are all erased;
Lingering memories of Indian summer.

Discern the colors of my complicating conflicted eyes
Transforming them into familiar hues of the moon
Even if only vaguely remembered in memory's light.

Separate the streams from oceans and then divide
Reminding now of visions of only desolate beaches
Somewhere in confines of your heart they still
collide.

Seek a glimpse of that lonely treasured sacred place
Replacing light and erasing the endless stagnant dark
Forever sketched with the beautiful blessings of
tomorrow.

Again the moon will shine;
Within you as brightly colorful as ever.

You will find that magic;
Living in your own salty ocean.

Memories of summers past;
Will harmonize within every season.

Discern and live peacefully within everyday colors
Emphasizing the endless light of the moon and sun
Flecks of the rainbow begin to reflect in your eyes.

Separate the tears from your forever yearning soul
Allowing the perfect ocean to again harmoniously flow
Endlessly to strive towards that promising eternal
sand.

Seek what will fill your heart to be no longer empty
Shattering self doubt and bringing a realization
Your glass has always been more than half full.
