The Choice

by symonelouise27   Apr 29, 2012

There are two of them,
One on either side.
One shows money with bright precious gems,
And the other shows a tough, narrow stride.

Which do I pick?
The easier or the harder?
I hoped that the answer would just click
But I know that I must search farther.

My thoughts and opinions are my own,
They are what make me, me.
I might live in some dome,
But from my life, I will not flee.

Choices, choices,
They are so difficult and confusing.
Choices, choices,
Some might find them amusing.

I must choose now,
It is my only hope.
But it's too hard ow!!
I better choose soon, if I really want to cope.

Alas! The choice has come,
There's no running away.
No one can make it for me, not my dad or my mum,
I have to say what is right, instead of facing dismay.

So I choose the road with a longer time,
Hopefully, it will all work out.
Along the road, I hear chimes,
And I know that I belong here without a doubt.
