Battle of the Demons

by Karrington   Apr 29, 2012

I sail in a river of darkness
The light is hard to find
The demons I thought I chased away
Still linger from behind
I try to shield from the rain
Behind me is the storm
The Devil takes his place
As his demons began to form
Crawling on my knees
Falling to the floor
Evil clouding my thoughts
I can't bare it anymore
But I continue to pray
I know he hears my cries
I know he sees me focused
Despite the demons tries
I know that if I hold on
And continue to fight my stay
There will be better days ahead
They're not too far away
Shall I rise from the ashes
To fly freely in the sky
They will stop at nothing
And neither will I
