From myself
From my needs and wants
From my expectations

You can't save me
From my feelings
My heart
My head

You can't rescue me
I don't need a hero
Just someone to love me
Accept me

Recognize and embrace me
Bend as I bend
Give as I give
Taking nothing that can't be returned

No pedestals
No horses
No cloudy versions of love

Eye to eye
Even ground
Nothing lost to selfish pondering
Nothing gained by defeat

    I love this insertion. To me it speaks of genuine feelings, no imitations, just the true caring and happiness of each other without the wounds and battle scars. An equal in every sense
