When You Kissed Me

by A Poets Handwriting aka ALISHA   Jun 5, 2012

All this time, I hadn't realised
The emotions that I held inside
The love I grew to hold for you

But I was always busy hiding
Keeping you at arm's distance
Hiding behind my mental wall

But it crumbled when you kissed me
and I finally realised all I felt inside;
All that I had kept locked away

It was the day I realised I loved you
My mental wall was a waste of time,
as it crumbled when you kissed me.

    A cute love poem. it's so true that we hold up a wall when getting to know someone... we don't want them to see who we are truly... but once you fall in love, the wall crumbles.
