The Boy with his Head

by Blood of a Lion   Jun 7, 2012

The demon sat with a smile and grinned, he toyed with the hair of a small boy and said, 'Who can really be so bold as the one without a head?'
And the boy did turn his head and said, 'A demon is still a demon even with a smile upon his head.'"
The demon did not speak, but his smile fell from his head, and he looked at the boy pulling his hair back and grinned, 'Son of war son of bread, who has decieved you with such bloodshed?'"
The boy with neck pulled taut and said, 'Only a boy with a head... unlike his father who is now behead'.'"
The demon looked on and said, 'So it is upon all men, he without his head may not live."

Also if anyone is wondering I use the word demon as the Japanese do. Referring to a monster or an evil man.

I'm not sure where this poem came from, all I know is I was reading a lot of old fairy tales and this one just kinda popped into it.
