The Way You Wanted Me to

by Chloe DeWitt   Jun 11, 2012

This poem may not be written well
but i want you to know, that you've caused me great hell
when i told you that i loved you,
you took it swell
but when you said it back,
you said i love you as well
then that one night,
the night out of so many others
you took my heart,
and let my life plunder
you admitted to me the truth
you said, "babe, i was only using you"
i cried my soul away,
and i told you,
"well babe, i hope i don't see you soon"
i said this because, when all else was lost,
my blade and my gun,
came to me and won...
they won the hurt of my heart,
and they stitched back together my smile,
my slit wrists, and scared veins,
are drinking away, all that remains of my soul
i sold to you, the one i needed to make whole
now i'm only a half
and my life, is way of tracks,
i need to feel pain, and play my twisted game,
the game of suicide, to end my caine
i hope not to see you soon,
but to make you suffer,
the way you wanted me to
you broke my heart,
and you stole my pride
now all i can enjoy
is this crazy ride.
god, do me a huge favor,
and help me take this knife,
and let it savor,
the taste of my blood, and the color of my veins
i'm loosing sight now,
to all of my good ways.
i am slowly dying now, fading away
it will only be a few seconds,
minutes,
or days.
but i will get my revenge on you,
and make you suffer, the way you wanted me to.
