Searching for Inspiration

A quest for inspiration,
while staring at a river,
watching the sunset;
my eyes awed in silence.

I longed to write a poem,
about the light sun rays
that gently massaged my skin,
and the breeze that caressed my hair.

I took my time to appreciate
the soft whispers of the wind,
the trees swaying from left to right,
as though greeting me from a distance.

I searched for the words
to paint the beautiful landscape.
Yet no word would suffice;
for only my eyes could understand -

true beauty.

    We are all guilty from time to time of not stopping in our busy schedules and just take time to appreciate the simple things.

    This is so magical and beautiful.

    What I love about this piece is how sometimes there are things that we see with such beauty that no words can describe how we feel when we see it or what we are seeing. I absolutely loved this write.

    There are many things that I have seen that are beautiful and have tried to write about it but it cannot compare to being there in person and seeing it for yourself, or being able to experience it for yourself.
