Escape

by shadow   Jul 10, 2012

I can't escape the weight on my shoulders.
This baggage constantly dragging me down.
My mind races with empty, useless thoughts.
Just another lonely king without his crown.

I sit here patiently waiting for something more.
But the chains always limit my reach.
Cuffed to the shit that I have to live with,
While everybody else has something to preach.

This grey cloud above my head,
Always threatening to rain.
Go ahead, pour down on me,
Just numb me from this pain.

I can't escape the tradegy of my ending,
This anger constantly dragging me down.
The rain falling harder now,
Until I begin to drown.
