Great Love

by Khalid M Darwish   Jul 10, 2012

Baby!
If they ask you
about me one day,
don't even think too much
Tell them with all your pride
((... Loves me ...Loves me a lot))
Petite: If one day they blamed you
How did you clip your hair, the silk?
How did you shatter perfume vase
after you raised it for months
It was like the summer in my country
Distributing shadows and perfumes
Tell them: (I clipped my hair
because my Beloved likes it short)
Mat: If even started a dance together
at the candles our everlasting symphony
where God did converted, in seconds,
our existence into both rays and light
and all do think you, in my arms,
a butterfly counting how to fly
just keep on dancing quietly
making my ribs your bed
and mumble with pride
(Loves me, loves me a lot!)
Pets: If they tell you that
I neither have slaves or palaces
nor in my hand a chain of Solitaire
by which I can surround your small neck
just tell them with all manoeuvring
((My first and everlasting love))
tell them: ('Tis enough that
He loves me so much)
O My Darling!
My Thousand Darling!
My love for your eyes is Great
and Great will always stay

One of my favorites from you so far.

    "If they tell you that
I neither have slaves or palaces
nor in my hand a chain of Solitaire
by which I can surround your small neck
just tell them with all manoeuvring
    ((My first and everlasting love))
    tell them: ('Tis enough that
    He loves me so much)"

    - Loved these lines, so pure and beautifully written. 5/5

    mandy :)
