Light's Coming but Some People Got Blind [String Tanka]

by Khalid   Jun 1, 2013

Don't waste extra time,
asking about good people
Just be one of them
Wars start from a religion
calling for love and mercy

How many persons
were doused alive for nothing
just for their goodwill
in the order to save lives
from the eternal hellfire

I told you for times
You cannot hide the sun light
with ignorance sieves,
hiding the reality
You think all people are blind

    Don't waste extra time,
    asking about good people
    Just be one of them

^^This is a very good opening for we do tend
to waste time asking about others yet not making an effort for change!

    Wars start from a religion
    calling for love and mercy

^^A very true line. It does start from a religion asking for love and mercy yet the killings just shows the opposite.

    How many persons
    were doused alive for nothing
    just for their goodwill
in the order to save lives
    from the eternal hellfire

^^Countless people have lost their lives and half of those have been pushed to do it involuntarily..that itself is a crime and the pain the family goes through. That they call is for the good for a change. This stanza stands out for me.

    I told you for times
You cannot hide the sun light
    with ignorance sieves,
    hiding the reality
You think all people are blind

^^The ending here draws an impression of the author making a statement/speech trying to get his message across to the listeners who fall blindly into tyranny's trap.

    Excellent write as always :)
