The Darkness I See...

by XxxWordsOfWisdomxxX   Jul 15, 2012

Dark shadows drifting towards me
asking for help why can't they see
I have no right to help them be
just like you and just like me
In the corners of the dark
where ever I am, stores, my house or the park
they feed on pain, the hunger of a shark
primitive, mysterious and rather dark
I try to save my soul and hide
into the light a close step I must stride
to the gateway to heaven I have died
away from the darkness I don't need to hide
So when light and dark begin to fight
will dark overpower the sweet innocent light?
in my young eyes I have the sight
the sight to see the new found fight
So once again darkness unfolds
all the scary riches untold
my heart and soul I must have sold
for my light dies within as the darkness unfolds
Dark shadows within me sway
they are there to forever stay
I have no right, no way to say
away from the dark towards the light I sway
Dark shadows drifting towards me
asking for help why can't they see
I have no right to help them be
just like you and just like me
