Letting go

I don't know where I will begin
Guess I shouldn't of let you in.
It's so hard watching someone walk away
But it's even harder when they pretend to stay.
The truth is I don't think you care,
you say you are but you are never there.
You say you are busy every day
so don't let me get in your way.
All I feel is hurt inside,
never thought from you I'd hide.
So just keep promising me more lies,
I'll hide the heartache behind my eyes.
When you finally make a date
you will see it's far too late.
You were the one who helped me grow
but tonight you're the one I'm letting go.

    I don't know the circumstances but
    sometimes it is better to let go.
    We all deserve the best.
    It may hurt for a while, but pain becomes
    manageable.
