He's All Over Me

See those lips? They used to kiss me.

Lip to lip, kissed ever gently;

made my pulse race oh-so quickly.

His scent is still all over me.

Whispered words of sweet forever

as we lay in bed together.

Pledges sealed through intimacy.

His scent is still all over me.

I never got to say goodbye.

Can't forget the day that he died.

Left me drowning in misery.

His scent is still all over me.

See those lips? They used to kiss me.

His scent is still all over me.

*A Kyrielle Sonnet is a poem that consists of 14 lines (three rhyming quatrain stanzas and a non-rhyming couplet). It has a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the Sonnet consists of only eight syllables. French poetry forms have a tendency to link back to the beginning of the poem, so common practice is to use the first and last line of the first quatrain as the ending couplet. This would also re-enforce the refrain within the poem. The rhyming scheme is:

A a b B, c c b B, d d b B, AB -or- A b a B, c b c B, d b d B, AB.
