Smile pet, your Master loves you.

How could he not?

He holds your beating heart in the palm of his hand
He could crush it, with a small show of power,
but he doesn't, he holds it gently for now.

He cradles it and protects it.
Your Master loves you,
He doesn't break your heart because he loves you

But never forget, pet, he could.

    I love the edge to this, Yes your master loves you but he/she has control.

    1 nit pick, line 5 needs a comma after 'doesn't'

    I like how reading this once you think about a master and dog, but looking deeper it could be a woman (You?) and her partner.

    Line 1 is almost an order, (smile or else)

    I love the arrogance in line 2.

    The next 3 lines have fantastic imagery.
    We then change gear and the tone calms, before the explosive end.

    Good pace, nice layout, great Job.

    It is a very dierent and creative piece. Masters are dangerous beings and incredible puppeteers.Loved your piece.
