Forevermore

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Aug 19, 2012

Sitting in a room of silence
Are two lovers that argue everyday
He discovered the lies she's told him
And now she's got nothing to say
She feels bad while moving closer
Wondering why he's not begging her to stay
And when she reaches to gently hold his hand
For the first time, he moves away

Cause he knows he can love her with all he has
But the love he spilled for her will never come back
He wants it to work; he wishes for the strength to try
But at the end of the day, she's left to hear his cries
He doesn't wanna taste his salty tears for another night

Sorrowfully swirling in a whirlpool
Of her blatant dishonesty
Everybody knows it; he can't stay focused
No matter what smile he wants them to see
He practically respires love for her
Now her kisses taste bittersweet
He don't know why he can't find the time
And forget her smile and just leave

Her honeysuckle scent is all over his clothes
Obviously, she wants to leave; he doesn't want her to go
She doesn't give a damn but he loves her so
He can't stand to be without her and all alone

But he knows loving her won't solve everything
And it's not worth the soaring pain that she brings
He knows it won't work; he doesn't try anymore
Cause by the end of today, he's walking out the door
But somehow, he'll still love her forevermore
