This Table

by Charlene Riner   Aug 28, 2012

Sitting here at this table filled with stuff
I think of all the feelings I carry with me
The chairs are empty sitting patiently there
For people to take them and smiles share
I look up and see that you are gone
Far from our home, so far from our reach
My tears begin to flow into sight
The moments of missing you is hard to fight
I feel your heart talking to mine
Telling me that all is going to be fine
You say we must hold on and never loose hope
Yet time seems to slip away instead
This table is filled with so many faces
Traveling from different places
Soon it will be our turn to meet
But until then we must hold on
Come and take your seat with us
At this table filled with stuff
