Piece Life Together

by Sweetdream   Aug 29, 2012

I wish I could peek at the front,
To see what it looks like in the end,
Since I'm afraid when death knocks,
My pieces will still be on the mend,

You see I dropped it all in the rain,
Because for just a moment I forgot,
It would take a bit more than pain,
To keep me from giving life a shot,

I haven't dried all the pieces out,
Parts are still frayed at the ends,
When it happened I wanted to shout,
That in this world I had no friends,

Now I stare at the pile of pieces,
Not really knowing what to see,
Till the moment my breath ceases,
As a pictures edge comes to be,

In this my soggy puzzle of life,
All I can do is jam pieces together,
In this long hunt of patient strife,
For the chance to peek at forever.
