I Almost Lost You

It was one year ago today

When you almost went away

I almost lost you that day mom.

Sepsis took a hold of you and was so very strong.

The doctor's thought their was no hope

They said your chances were so very slim

You would need a miracle they said

For you to survive and wake again

But I knew those doctors were so very wrong.

Becasue you are so very strong.

You would not give up without a fight.

Sepsis would not take your life.

Fifty-three is to young to go.

With so many miles left to go.

Who knew your future would be so bright

A precious grand baby boy

Who's the light of your life

I did not believe in miracles until that faithful day.

But a miracle is what you are dear mom in every single way

I never thought that you would die.

But thinking about it made me cry.

For being in a world without you here.

That was my biggest my greatest fear.

For mom you truly are my greatest friend.

And that will truly never end.

And so mom you did survive your battle with sepsis my o my.
