In the Darkness of Night

Night time is when
The demons come out
The darkness of depression
It's hard to keep OUT!!
Those terrible dark thoughts
That creep in your head
The pain almost unbearable
You'd rather be dead
But you stick it out
You've beat it once more
But you know those dark demons

Will come knocking once more
But you keep on fighting
What else can you do

Depression won't WIN
It won't knock you down
I will fight tooth and nail
And beat it back down
For life is worth living
I'll keep marching ahead
Beating those demons
That dance in my head
