My Love By The Second Month

by Soulful Ensemble   Sep 22, 2012

Happy anniversary and I hope you're smiling there
In the sky of yellow with the diamond-shinning hair.
I'm holding on to you real tight and strong, not letting go
Because my love is not a rubber band or plastic soul
That can be taken back depending on the weather
Like the wind that carries on a feather.

My feathers are metal that is not moved by wind
Because no matter where we are I always meet your heart.
The sky corrodes and paints itself in all new tints
That cannot be melted down, they're strong from the start.

My love, by the second month, has grown like flowers
That come from nowhere to show their real powers.
Rain will never ruin all the dreams my mind creates
Because love is not tricked easily with cheap baits.

I'm sky diving over Monticello with a pretty girl named Leilah
Holding her hand, by the second month, like its a flavor
That time will never kill no matter how hard it tries
And no matter how loud sadness always cries.

By the second month it feels like a love's year
That has eliminated all the feelings of fear.
I've erased the scariness of May and Fall
To the images of winter that have now begun.

And fall was here just yesterday, moving quickly
Like nobody would notice if i died so miserably.
The leaves fell to my understanding, dead and brown
But I couldn't notice anything with a love's crown.

I'm not interesting in anything but our love
That gives wings to a witnessing soul like doves
Which are the only things left in empty hearts that glow
To kill everything that reminds you of the silent crow.

And there is no more silent crow
Love takes over the emotions of growth.
My heart is never angry, there is nothin I loathe
Peace and energy has given me new clothes
So that caring for youis like caring for me
And please don't ever let me be.

I want you by my side, equal in your stride,
So that everything I feel is always deep inside
Your soul that connects you to me like cosmic powers
Takes over the core of a heart that's made of flowers.

By two months I've learned so much about love
That I might've never known in years.
When you caress my hand I feel your glove
And it covers me enough to kill all fears.

I love you, Leilah, don't overlook one word I say
Because the letters I use are dragged out from my soul
That has love so strong it always finds a way
To reach the surface and burn like coal from May to May.

From May to May I've thought of you like the wolf about the moon
And I see you in my mind in a garden of flowers that always bloom.
Feelings of love are all that dares in my heart to loom
To be like fire that kills and takes away all gloom.

Yes, you know, that I want to be your groom
And that I'll marry you in a second's rule.
All you have to do is speak your mind and say
That you need me by your side from May to May.

In two months, that seem like years, I've learned so much
Like closing my eyes of tears when I reach my hands to touch
Things that can't even be physically clutched
And windy weather that can bring nothing to very much.

Love, love, love, is the energy of the white dove
That flies up high for peace yelling, " love, love, love".
When the bulls come to say " shove, shove, shove!"
I'll show them my certificate which proves true love.

It feels like forever, baby, to have a natural, special love
That never corrodes in the eyes of maybe which are definite in love.
My heart is definite in love that misses you when you are gone
But I'm so happy with you that I'm having so much fun.
