When doves cry [acrostic]

by Masked metaphor   Sep 30, 2012

Wings weep across desolate tears
Hollowed by emptiness covering the now frail years
Eyes soaking in the earths many fears
Never letting go of the limited spark of hope within

Doves, white and graceful flutter and glide
Over the earths weaknesses in a mission to guide
Victoriously aiming for happiness in a sad communities cry
Entwining the tears of death to the tears of life
Sorrow turns to abundant joy and continual peace of mind.

Crystal tear droplets fall from their eyes
Raining miracle waters to reveal the truth from bitter lies
Yearning to create a world of justice, allowing the fallen to arise.

Inspired by the song when doves cry in the Romeo and Juliet movie

You just brought back my faith in acrostics. I didn't think anyone could make them beautiful anymore but you just proved me wrong. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5/5 but seriously this is the best acrostic ever

This is exquisite. I love the opening line it captures the readers interests right from the start.
    "Wings weep across desolate tears"
It is so elegant and beautiful yet a somber message.
"Never letting go of the limited spark of hope within"
That is a great sentence also because as it starts off in a sadness of pain this final sentence before moving on gives up, even if it is a tiny bit.

The way you described the doves are so graceful and magical, I read it several times because of the utter warmth and love I felt in my heart reading the description of these beautiful creators. The rhyming and the sequence you've written are real powerful also, the cry of communities really grabbed me because so many people are lost, but then again you've turned the sadness into hope so simply and easily, a turn for the better!

"Crystal tear droplets fall from their eyes
Raining miracle waters to reveal the truth from bitter lies
Yearning to create a world of justice, allowing the fallen to arise."

That last sentence is just wow! I love the whole entire thing, the imagery and the breakdown is amazing! You've done such a awesome job with this illustration. I ENJOY and LOVE the last sentence, creating a world of justice, allowing the fallen to arise. Such hope!

    5/5
A very vivid, amazing, magical poem.
