Spring's Early Hours

by A Poets Handwriting aka ALISHA   Sep 30, 2012

Like a wisp of wind
or scattering of leaves
winter's chill departs
to allow spring's reprieve.

Warmth embraces all
from human to flowers;
like a kiss of affection,
we journey September's hours.

    Lately, I've been really digging nature poems...and this is one of the ones I find myself reading over and over again. It's a breath of fresh air, I love the subtle rhyme and the beautiful imagery.

    You penned the transition from a season of death and cold to a season of rebirth. I love Spring and the blooming of the flowers then. The imagery is just so beautiful with just a few words used.
