5 years since I had anything real...
Has it been that long?
Have I really been that good?

How many people have I fooled?
To many to count...
What was it like before?
Did I even feel before her?

How often have I wandered?
I can't even remember the path back...
Am I even real?
Was I ever?

How am I to tell?
I've faked it with the best...
Do I even know the meaning of the words?
What is joy, love, happiness, and content?

    This is quite thought provoking, it seems to be about a person, perhaps an ex, or some sort of past relationship which has affected you by not lasting.

    The other thing that came to mind was like a habit, addiction, drugs etc. And how you have been clean fo so long but then have you really, or have you just been fooling others.

    Short but sends out a few things to think about. Well done
