Multicolored

by X Harlea X   Oct 12, 2012

Grass as green as emeralds I sit upon,
staring across the way at the waterfall.
Waters so clear they reflect
that beautiful rainbow given by the sun.

Waters in shades of reds and blues,
purples and greens; so many to choose
to look at and pick your favorites,
though they all stay in memories.

Removing my shoes I step unto the limestone
flooring at the shallow end.
Swimming through all that multicolored water,
I feel as though I am freed.

Painting a picture to save the beauty,
I leave with the beautiful peace and senerity.

Such a simple and beautiful poem, the scene is desrcibred so beautifully and I am so jealous when I am reading this. I love rainbows and love colours, and the idea of a rainbow coloured waterfall and little pond, I can get a strong sense of the feeling of freedom you describe when you are splashing through it and stepping on all of the difference colours.

Such a beautiful and relaxing poem. well done

Mannn I could so use a dip in a waterfall right now...

Very pretty imagery here Harlea! <3 I love the use of "flooring" here. I don't know why that made me love your last stanza...I could feel the limestone on my feet as I read it ..

    Nicely written :)
