The pain that pain causes

It's hard to hold on when you are weak.
Help me get stronger.
I need the strength.
Like years ago.
When my life was in danger.
In danger because of the pain.
Strength took over and the pain was no more.
But pain can't stop now.
It is stronger than strength itself.
It doesn't care who it hurts.
It is selfish and will take life into its own hands.
It will take life away.
It will make you pick up the bottle and stumble into your own grave.
I need strength to be brave.
But I am weak.
Help me grow stronger.
I don't want to see a world so bleak.
