Whisper

by Raven   Nov 2, 2012

With every word that was said, in that warm warm bed,
you spoke so soft as you kissed my neck

you whispered sweet lies into my ear,
and i took them in every year

"please don't leave me," you pleaded
but why would i? Your the most beautiful liar

As many times as you left, without even just a blink,
you left me to fall, onto my knees

Sometimes i wish you'd leave me, forget about me,
but i know i want you to stay, to keep hurting me

It keeps me alive

So keep whispering those pretty little lies, into my ears,
Ill take them in like the poison you injected into my body, i'll wait until it consumes me

One last time,
"I Love you"

And just like that,
you're gone again

and to this day these whispers still haunt me,
but its true, the alcohol really does start to wash you away, filling all these broken holes in my armor

and ill keep dragging myself through these miserable days, waiting by the phone, every night,

waiting for that one call, that says, "Hi."

Jessica.

Great poem, this poem is filled with sadness and heartbreaking emotions. This write brings me to tears; it's painful to love someone so much that you'll stay when they are hurting you.

Excellent way to express how painful some loves can be.
