Unexpected

I wrote a whole page of coward thoughts
to avoid the truth my heart is blessed with.
Three stanzas, sixty two words, neither
accurate enough to approach you with.

So here's the layout, the floor plan
of where I house my emotions for you.

I catch myself living in daydreams
where you hold me tenderly. I'd be
lying if I said I didn't savor every
minute of that false reality.

At night, my darkest hour is
lit with lanterns that illuminate
your face. I'll never understand how
you can appear so vivid when your
not here in the physical sense.

Hours are spent praying these feelings
go away or progress because I can't take
this stand still moment....

This craving is overwhelming and quite
random, but they say you find love when
you least expect it and you darling,
are unexpected.

If drastic times call for drastic measures
then take me to where you are and
let's make real today, what I've
dreamt last night.

    "I find it difficult to describe my feelings for this poem as it was one I simply fell in love with after reading it for the first time, and it's difficult to do the author justice when the poem itself is so beautifully and elegantly penned throughout.

    All the emotions and thoughts, the needing and wants, we experience at the start of a fresh new love is something the author manages to portray and capture so vividly and beautifully, yet making it look so effortless whilst doing so.

    The imagery shown throughout the whole poem is something I could happily read over and over, as it leaves me with such instant and striking visuals in my mind. The whole content of this poem, the flow, the emotion, the imagery all works wonderfully, each complimenting the other.

    Well done!"

    To be honest, I just don't want to stop reading it. The daydreaming, the vivid images of seeing someone when he is not even there, you said it all for me...

    I can relate soooo deeply to your poems.

    I love you girl! You are incredible and so is your poetry. It's so good to see a happy piece although I have room to talk, lol. I agree with Tara. This is breath taking and it is beautiful. The words you used and the way you portrayed them are perfect. May this be the beginning of something new :-)

    Oh Chelsey...That was breathtaking, Oh this deserves a nomination, Really.

    I cannot even begin to put into words what I am thinking....
    Beautifully penned, with such grace and beauty, the essence of love and the longing and the aching and the feelings you penned were marvellous, there is just not anything I can critique because the flow was flawless, the emotions were strong, the whole thing was just utterly amazing and so are you.

    WOW is just WOW!!
